Dohnix
I joined Dohnix in April 2024 until July 2024 as the founding UI/UX designer, helping bring the AI-driven supplement platform VitaX from concept to minimum viable product. I designed the mobile app and proposed a smart reminder feature to notify users when to take the right supplements. In a fast-paced startup environment, I collaborated closely with founders, developers, and marketers to shape the product experience.

Understanding
What is the best combination of vitamins for me?
It’s often challenging to find the right supplements to support personal health. Everyone’s needs are different, and the vast array of products on the market. Each with different combinations and formulations can be overwhelming. Dohnix set out to solve this problem by creating a platform that uses AI to recommend the optimal vitamin and supplement combinations tailored specifically to each individual.
Research
What stops you from buying the supplements?
People are often hesitant to buy new supplements because they already have some at home but forget to take them, aren't sure if it's safe to combine them, or don't know the right dosage.
Ideation
Your Personal Supplement Coach in Your Pocket

I designed a user flow that not only recommends the right supplements based on each user’s health profile, but also leverages the mobile platform to deliver timely notifications, reminding users to take the correct combination of supplements at the right time.
Ideation
Building a consistent, trustworthy brand

I aimed to communicate a brand that feels both technological and trustworthy. Given that the platform spans both web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints was essential.
Design
Quiz + E-commerce + Alarm
Final Design
Vita X On-Boarding Quiz
An onboarding quiz to gather detailed information about each user’s health, lifestyle, and goals. This allows the AI to better understand individual needs and deliver personalized supplement recommendations tailored to their body condition.
Final Design
Your Smart Home and Alarm
I designed an intuitive, AI-powered e-commerce experience tailored to each user’s needs. I also added a feature that lets users input the supplements they’re already taking. The AI then schedules personalized reminders, alerting them when to take each supplement throughout the day.
Final Design

Final Design

A page where users can add and edit their favorite supplements, whether they’re currently taking them or simply interested in them.
Final Design

A filtering interface that enables users to efficiently locate the specific category of supplements they need.
Key Learnings
Common goal and Common language
Over 12 weeks working in a small, highly motivated team, I found that maintaining clear goals, direction, focus, and motivation was essential. Collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds underscored the importance of aligning on terminology to ensure efficient communication, reduce assumptions, and minimize cognitive load. In addition to learning new approaches to user research, UX design, and business alignment, these insights were among my most valuable takeaways.
